Description
La Morella Timorasso is made from 100% Timorasso grapes grown in Carezzano Superiore in the Colli Tortonesi hills of Piedmont. The vineyards sit at 350 meters elevation on calcareous clay soil rich in marl, with south-facing exposure and constant winds. Enio Ferretti farms organically using methods established in the mid-1980s. Grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed, then fermented in stainless steel for about one month. The wine ages eight months on fine lees with light battonage, followed by one year in bottle, without filtration or clarification.
