Description
Castello di Verduno Basadone is crafted from the Pelaverga Piccolo grape, indigenous to Verduno in the Piedmont region of Italy. The vineyards are on rolling hills with calcareous clay soils, providing an ideal terroir for this rare varietal. This vintage experienced favorable weather, leading to optimal ripening. Grapes are hand-harvested to ensure quality. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in stainless steel vats for eight months and an additional three months in the bottle. This approach preserves the grape’s delicate aromatics and fresh character.
