Description
Poggiosecco Rosso IGT Sangiovese 2024 is a biodynamic Tuscan red crafted by Azienda Agricola Poggiosecco in the Montalbano Hills between Florence and Siena. This blend of 70% Sangiovese and 30% Merlot comes from 40-year-old vines planted on chalk and sandstone soils. The grapes are hand-harvested, gently destemmed, and co-fermented with indigenous yeasts. Poggiosecco Rosso IGT 2024 ages for 3 months in cement tanks followed by 3 months in bottle before release. Clarification occurs by decantation only—no fining products are used—reflecting the estate’s minimal intervention philosophy.
