Description
Matteo Furlani produces Mae Son Rosso Frizzante in the Trentino-Alto Adige region of Italy, where the vineyards range between 300 and 720 meters above sea level. The wine is a blend of indigenous varieties like Pavana, Rosara, Negrara, and Turca, grown organically and biodynamically on soils rich in limestone, clay, and porphyry. The grapes are hand-harvested, undergo spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and macerate on their skins for 20 days. Aged on the lees in steel vats, the wine then undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle, resulting in a fresh, natural, sparkling red.
