Our 2021 Rosé of Grenache is crafted in the Provence style with delicate floral aromas, fresh citrus flavors, and crisp textures. Shortly after Grenache first arrived from France in the 1860s, Californian winemakers became increasingly impressed with both its vigor in the vineyard and incredible stylistic versatility. However, it wasn’t until 1869—when the state’s first rosé wine was made from the popular Zinfandel grape—that winemakers recognized Grenache as an ideal candidate for this rising style; seemingly even more than Zinfandel. Large plump berries, thin skins, and inherently bright red-fruited varietal characteristics are the reasons why today this French grape is one of the most successful varieties for producing fresh, fruit-forward rosés like this one from Tailored Republic.
