Description
Old Forester 2012 Birthday Bourbon is the eleventh annual release in the brand’s vintage-dated series, bottled at 97 proof (48.5% ABV) and distilled at the Brown-Forman Distillery in Shively, Kentucky. The mash bill is Old Forester’s standard 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley.
Aged 12 years in new charred American white oak barrels on the 4th floor of Warehouse H, a mid-level position offering balanced heat exposure and consistent maturation. Selected from a single day of production and awarded “Best Bourbon” at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, with a Double Gold Medal also presented to the brand the same year.
