This expression represents a circular technical collaboration between Master Distiller Chris Morris and a local Woodford County bee farmer. The process began with freshly dumped bourbon barrels being loaned to the farmer for honey maturation; once returned, these honey-saturated casks were refilled with fully matured Woodford Reserve Bourbon for a unique secondary finishing period.
Utilizing the core 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley mash bill, the spirit was matured in heat-cycled stone warehouses to facilitate the integration of viscous honey sugars and floral aromatics. The resulting profile is structurally dense with technical notes of raw honey, toasted coconut, and clove, balanced by a long, toasty finish of baking spices. It serves as a definitive benchmark for collectors exploring the intersection of local agriculture and experimental cask finishing.
