Description
Dos Artes Reserva Especial Añejo Tequila is an 80 Proof (40% ABV) 100% Blue Weber agave spirit primarily produced at NOM 1466 (Tres Mujeres) in Amatitán, Jalisco, though some recent lots are associated with NOM 1480. This Reserva Especial expression is distinguished by a dual-cask maturation process: it is typically aged for 15 months in American oak followed by a 3-month finish in virgin French oak, totaling 18 months. Some limited “Reserva Especial” variants are reported as aged up to five years in a high-proportion French oak blend.
The profile is characterized by rich toasted vanilla, butterscotch, and cooked agave with a signature smooth, viscous texture. Presented in a 1-liter hand-painted ceramic decanter, this allocated spirit is a primary target for collectors seeking the intersection of artisanal Mexican pottery and premium wood-influenced tequila.
