Our sophisticated yet approachable Pinot Noir has received many prestigious awards from an array of wine competitions — these honors include three 90+ point scores and four Gold Medals. This decorated wine hails from the warm Mediterranean climate of Southern France. Overall, this region offers high temperatures, little rainfall, and mild winters, which allow for a long growing season. With some vines dating back 40 years, the area also contains an array of micro-climates ranging from cooler inland sites found amongst the mountain foothills to hotter regions within the coastal plain. Calm afternoon winds create perfect conditions to propagate fruit that benefits from both hot and cool climatic influences. Early morning harvest preserved the grape’s bright, fruity flavor and natural acidity while light extraction techniques used in the winery added to the subtle textures and flavors of a classic Pinot Noir. Drawn by the underrated potential of this French region, the winemakers at St. Audette Nuit have captured its beauty and created a modern take on Old World tradition.
