Description
Swartland is nestled on the Western Cape of South Africa and is famously known for producing some of the most flavorful and crowd-pleasing wines coming out of the Southern Hemisphere. While the area is historically and primarily known for producing wheat, it is now a huge player in the global wine scene. Vineyards in Swartland enjoy a very hot and dry climate. Rain is rare in the growing season, so the close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean provides a welcome relief with cooler air and breezes coming off the water. This type of growing environment allows fruit to develop deeply concentrated flavors and gives a chance for the natural acidity of varietals to shine. This Chenin Blanc is a beautiful example of the quality coming out of the region. With tropical notes and round floral aromas, it is a fantastic pair for spicier dishes as it cuts through the heat. Easy to enjoy and perfect for sharing with friends.
