Description
Le Batossay Al’Cab’Erne Cabernet Franc is made from Cabernet Franc grapes, cultivated in a vineyard with clay and limestone soil. Baptiste, who practices biodynamic farming, manages the vineyard. These vines were planted in 2002 by his father, Olivier Cousin. The winemaking process includes a 4-day whole bunch maceration of hand-harvested grapes, followed by spontaneous fermentation and a 12-month aging period in neutral oak barrels. The wine is produced without the use of fining, filtering, or the addition of sulfur. It is characterized by its velvety texture and freshness, offering a deep flavor profile and juicy fruit notes, making it enjoyable when served slightly chilled.
