Description

Chérouche Chant de la Ryëre 2022 is a dry white wine made from 100% Chardonnay grown on steep, southeast-facing slopes in Ayent, Valais, Switzerland, at elevations between approximately 1,970 and 2,790 feet. The soils are schist, clay, and quartz. Vineyards are farmed organically and biodynamically, without fertilizers or irrigation, with slopes reaching gradients of up to 38 degrees. Produced by Domaine de Chèrouche, the grapes are hand-harvested and manually destemmed, then pressed slowly before spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel. Chérouche Chant de la Ryëre 2022 is bottled without fining, filtration, or added sulfur. Valais, Switzerland.
