Description
Old Forester 2010 Birthday Bourbon is the ninth annual release in the brand’s vintage-dated series, bottled at 95 proof (47.5% ABV) and distilled at the Brown-Forman Distillery in Shively, Kentucky. The mash bill is Old Forester’s standard 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley.
Aged 12 years in new charred American white oak barrels on the 5th floor of Warehouse K, a mid-level position offering moderate heat exposure and balanced maturation conditions. Selected from a single day of production and released on September 2 to commemorate founder George Garvin Brown’s birthday, continuing the vintage-dated tradition established in 2002.
