Hibiki 12 Year Old is an 86 Proof (43.0% ABV) prestigious, small-batch blended Japanese whisky produced by the Suntory spirits group. This discontinued, highly collectible expression is a masterpiece of blending, combining meticulously selected malt whiskies from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries with mellow grain whiskies from the Chita distillery. Maturation occurred for a minimum of 12 years in a diverse array of casks, including American white oak, Sherry casks, and rare Japanese Mizunara oak.

A defining technical spec is the inclusion of whiskies part-matured in Umeshu (plum liqueur) casks, which imparts a distinctively sweet, floral complexity. Technical notes highlight a silky, high-viscosity mouthfeel featuring caramelized pear and honeyed oak, balanced by subtle spices and the signature sandalwood incense finish of Mizunara wood.
