Description
Kumusha Sauvignon Blanc is crafted from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes sourced from the Opstal vineyard in South Africa’s Breedekloof region, Western Cape. The four-hectare vineyard sits at 300 meters elevation on ancient sandstone soils. Grapes are hand-picked in the early morning hours to preserve freshness. Kumusha Sauvignon Blanc undergoes spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by four to six months of lees aging. A small oak-matured component is blended before bottling. Certified sustainable practices are employed throughout production with minimal sulfur addition.
