Lamberts son, Thompson Willett, later joined in as the distillerys assistant superintendent, until Lambert bought a farm and built the Willett Distilling Company in 1936 with the help of Thompson and his other son Johnny. They produced their first batch of Willett whiskey on March 17, 1937.
