Description
Domaine Tempier’s 2024 Bandol Rosé continues the estate’s legacy of crafting France’s most distinguished rosé from vineyards planted on clay-limestone and marly-sand soils across varied expositions. The blend comprises approximately 55% Mourvèdre, 25% Grenache, and 20% Cinsault, all hand-harvested from organically farmed vines averaging 20 years old. Winemaking involves both cold pellicular maceration and direct pressing, followed by cold settling and fermentation in stainless steel and concrete vats with indigenous yeasts. The wine ages 6-8 months before bottling, developing the complexity and structure that distinguishes Tempier’s rosé from typical Provençal offerings while maintaining the estate’s commitment to minimal intervention.
