Description
Long recognized for producing Pinot Grigio of the highest caliber, Barone Fini started in 1497 when two noble families united in marriage and began producing wine in northeastern Italy. The Bonmartini-Fini family continues to manage this venerable property today and produce some of the best quality DOC wines. Sat atop the ruins of an ancient Roman winery, Barone Fini uses natural winemaking practices in accordance with strict production standards. Awarded 91points in the 2014 Ultimate Wine Challenge, all of the fruit for Barone Fini’s Pinot Grigio is sourced from 25-30 year old vines and hand harvested to select only the best grapes. This versatile wine entices the nose with subtle floral notes and lemon mist while round fruit fills the mouth with ripe, juicy flavors of honeydew melon and ripe apples. Bright acidity balanced with warm minerality create a lingering, crisp finish.
