Description
Chris Condos has a reputation as one of the early advocates the organic wine movement in the United States. For the past two decades, he has made a name for himself across the country making wines in his own way. As an early adopter of organic and biodynamic farming, Chris put into practice sustainable farming techniques a decade before they became mainstream, with the focus on producing low intervention wines that let the grape speak for itself. Now he brings us the Cassiday Blare 2016 Pinot Noir, a striking wine that will be an instant classic. Powerful, with notes of dark berries and plum, the mouthfeel is silky. Subtle notes of savory herbs and bramble tease out of the Pinot Noir as the wine opens up. It’s enjoyable to drink on its own but really shines with food. We’ve been enjoying it with pork tenderloin and roasted mushrooms that really brings out the earthiness of the Pinot Noir grapes.
