Description
Angel’s Envy Ice Cider Cask Finish is a 107 Proof (53.5% ABV) limited-edition Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey released in 2022 as the fourth installment in the distillery’s Cellar Collection. This technical expression is comprised of a 95% rye and 5% malted barley mash bill, which underwent primary maturation for seven years in new charred American oak. The secondary maturation profile is defined by a unique 364-day finish in French oak casks previously used to age Eden Ice Cider.
These casks, sourced from Vermont, were selected to impart a crisp, tart profile to the spicy rye base. Produced at the Angel’s Envy Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky, this non-chill filtered release was limited to an allocation of 6,000 bottles. The technical presentation includes a premium frosted glass bottle housed in a heavy-duty wooden box, engineered to reflect the northern climate of the cider’s origin.
