Description
Frank Cornelissen MunJebel Rosso FM is made exclusively from Nerello Mascalese grapes grown in the Contrada Feudo di Mezzo vineyard on Mount Etna’s northern slopes in Sicily. This parcel sits between 600 and 730 meters above sea level and is known for its deep volcanic ash soils, which lend a dark, dense character to the fruit. The 2020 vintage saw favorable ripening conditions. Grapes are hand-harvested and undergo spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Maceration on skins lasts around 50 days, followed by aging in neutral epoxy tanks. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration and with minimal added sulfur.
