Description
Old Forester 2014 Birthday Bourbon is the thirteenth annual release in the brand’s vintage-dated series, bottled at 97 proof (48.5% ABV) and distilled at the Brown-Forman Distillery in Shively, Kentucky. The mash bill is Old Forester’s standard 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley.
Aged 12 years in new charred American white oak barrels pulled from two maturation locations: Warehouse G and Warehouse I. The multi-warehouse selection approach, first introduced with the 2009 vintage, continued to refine the brand’s blending technique. Selected from a single day of production and released on September 2 to commemorate founder George Garvin Brown’s birthday.
