Little Book Chapter 6: “To The Finish” is a 117.45 proof (58.725% ABV) blended American whiskey curated by 8th Generation Master Distiller Freddie Noe. Inspired by Noe’s curiosity for how flavors from the grill complement whiskey making, this 2022 release is a technical union of five unique whiskeys: four 4-year-old straight malt whiskies and a 5-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon.
The malt components were finished separately using cherrywood, applewood, hickory, and maplewood techniques to impart a complex savory-sweet profile. The resulting liquid layers rich toasted grain and sweet wood smoke over a foundational base of charred oak and vanilla. Bottled uncut and unfiltered at the James B. Beam Distilling Co., this 750ml allocation showcases the innovative use of diverse hardwood finishing.
