Description
A great wine tastes like it’s from somewhere. It has unique characteristics that are makers of place. The grapes in the Penpal 2016 Classic Red come from deep loamy soils fed by two rivers in Lodi, California. Rich in nutrients, and aided by a warm climate these grapes have character and depth. Notes of black currant, mocha, and fig are teased out through vanilla and spice, with just the right amount of minerality to say “Yes! This is a Lodi wine, and I love it.” It took home Gold from the 2018 International Women’s Wine Competition!
