Description
Pays d’Oc is tucked in the southern coast of France. Bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, the appellation boasts a classic continental climate with a hot, dry growing season. Winds from the northwestern part of France blow in and relieve the warm days, giving grapes a chance to fully ripen and develop balanced and concentrated flavors. This Grenache Blanc is a delightful expression of the wines coming out of the region. Grown on land with clay and limestone soil, fruit used for this wine had low yields, but the berries had aromatic potential from the get-go. During oak aging, winemakers chose to keep this wine on the lees, stirring juice occasionally, which led to a rich mouthfeel and full-bodied texture. Featuring a light oily texture, this wine is full of stone fruit flavors and white floral notes. It is bright and fresh, holding its own against fresh dishes of all kinds.
