Distilled on May 15, 2008, this 11-year-old expression was sourced from a 120 barrel lot matured on the 2nd floor of Warehouse I. This specific maturation floor is technically significant for its more moderate temperature fluctuations compared to upper tiers, allowing for a slower, more integrated extraction of wood tannins over its eleven-year cycle.
The 2019 edition is notable for its increased 105 proof—the highest in the series’ history at the time of release—which preserves a higher concentration of fatty acids and esters. The resulting structural profile is exceptionally dense, characterized by heavy notes of dark chocolate, butterscotch, and a unique herbal complexity that balances the traditional Old Forester cherry and toasted oak finish.
