El Tesoro De Don Felipe 85th Anniversario Extra Añejo Tequila is an 85 Proof (42.5% ABV) additive-free spirit celebrating 85 years of artisanal heritage at the La Alteña Distillery. This commemorative expression is a unique collaboration between Master Distiller Carlos Camarena and Jim Beam Master Distiller Fred Noe. The spirit was matured for at least 36 months in rare barrels that previously held Booker’s 30th Anniversary Bourbon for up to 16 years. Crafted using traditional 1937 methods, the estate-grown agave is tahona-crushed, fermented with fibers, and distilled to proof in copper pot stills.
The resulting profile is a complex marriage of agave and bourbon influence, featuring deep notes of cooked agave, leather, tobacco, and blackberries, with a long, creamy finish of coffee and toasted nuts. This highly allocated 750ml bottling represents the pinnacle of the Camarena family portfolio and is a primary target for high-intent tequila purists and anniversary collectors.
