Description
Colonel E.H. Taylor Warehouse C is a 100 proof (50% ABV) limited-release produced at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, KY. Released in June 2021, this Bottled-in-Bond expression was matured for exactly 10 years in the center of the historic Warehouse C, a six-story brick-and-stone structure built by Taylor in 1885. The technical maturation involved a specific selection of 100 barrels: half from the tight, dry ricks of the 2nd floor and half from the sun-exposed, well-ventilated 5th floor.
This dual-floor aging process utilizes Buffalo Trace Mash Bill #1 (low-rye) to produce a technical profile defined by cherry cobbler and rum sauce on the nose, with a palate of cherry cola, vanilla bean, and toasted oak followed by a long finish of spearmint and coffee.
