Argiolas is the foremost winery on the island of Sardinia, producing archetypal wines from native varietals. Founded in 1938 by Antonio Argiolas, it is now a third-generation family estate, with a focus on producing small batches of the highest quality wine. Argiolas has atradition of critical success, and Costamolino has received honors from publications including Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast every year since 2011.

Located 200 miles to the west of Italy’s mainland, Sardinia is the second-largest island in the Mediterranean. Costamolino Vermentino is made from grapes grown in the Trexenta hills, 1,000 feet above sea-level, where the windy climate provides a cooling balance to the region’s hot weather. This allows the grapes to develop their rich, fruit flavors throughout the warm days while preserving their natural acids during the cool nights.

TASTING NOTES: Vermentino is the best way to experience macchia, the mix of aromas from the evergreen shrubs and herbs native to the Sardinian landscape.
