Ocho “Why Ru Here?” Rkatsiteli is an orange wine from Georgia’s Kakheti region, produced by Ocho, a winery established in 2012 by a group of wine enthusiasts dedicated to organic practices and traditional Georgian winemaking techniques. 100% Rkatsiteli sourced from vineyards in the Kakheti region. The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in qvevri—traditional clay amphorae buried underground. Extended maceration on the skins for six months, aged in qvevri, allowing for natural micro-oxygenation and development of nuanced flavors. Bottled unfiltered and unfined with minimal sulfites.
