Released in late 2014, this highly experimental fourth installment was aged for 15 years inside five extra-large, custom 65-gallon virgin oak barrels rather than standard 53-gallon casks. Stored upright on the racks of Rickhouse I, these larger barrels altered the liquid-to-wood ratio, tempering heavy oak extraction to prevent over-oaking.

The batch relies on the classic mash bill of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley. Bottled entirely uncut and non-chill filtered, this specific cask strength allocation yielded multiple varied proof variants—including a high 135.6 proof and a maximum “hazmat” 144.6 proof—isolating a dense, syrupy mouthfeel marked by deep leather, black tea tannins, and dark cherry.
