Description
Nino Barraco Old Vine Grillo emerges from 50-year-old bush vines planted on red soils with sea sand surfaces, just kilometers from Sicily’s western coast. Hand-harvested organic Grillo grapes undergo one day of skin contact before fermentation with indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks. The winemaking process embraces traditional Sicilian methods with no added sulfites, filtration, or fining. This natural wine reflects the unique Marsala terroir, where vine roots stretch toward the Mediterranean, creating wines with distinctive maritime character and mineral complexity. The coastal proximity and limestone-rich soils contribute to the wine’s authentic expression of place.
