Description
Pierre Frick Auxerrois 2023 comes from one of Alsace’s most pioneering biodynamic estates, where twelve generations of the Frick family have cultivated vines in Pfaffenheim. This “Pur Vin” bottling features 100% Pinot Auxerrois grown on calcareous soils with limestone and yellow sandstone components. Jean-Pierre and Chantal Frick hand-harvest the grapes, then ferment exclusively with indigenous yeasts—no chaptalization, no acidity correction, no temperature control. Pierre Frick Auxerrois 2023 ages on fine lees in century-old oak foudres and is bottled without fining, filtration, or added sulfites, containing less than 10 mg/L total SO2.
