Angel’s Envy 2021 Cask Strength is a 120.7 Proof (60.35% ABV) limited-edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey released as the 10th-anniversary expression of the brand’s Cask Strength program. This technical expression utilizes the distillery’s standard mash bill of 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley. The maturation process involves aging the base spirit for up to nine years in new charred American white oak before the liquid is hand-selected for a secondary finishing period in 60-gallon Ruby Port wine casks sourced from Portugal.
Produced at the Angel’s Envy Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky, this 2021 release was limited to a total allocation of approximately 14,760 bottles. The technical presentation features the signature winged glass bottle housed in a commemorative carved wooden box, designed to withstand the shelf-life demands of high-proof spirits while showcasing the deep tawny hue gained from the extended port cask interaction during the climate-intensive rickhouse aging.
