Angel’s Envy Cask Strength 2014 Release is a 119.3 Proof (59.65% ABV) limited-edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey released in late 2014 as the third annual installment of the distillery’s high-proof series. This expression is a technical selection of the most exceptional barrels from the distillery’s aging warehouses, consisting of a 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley mash bill. The maturation profile is defined by an initial aging period in new charred American oak, followed by an intensive secondary maturation in hand-selected Portuguese ruby port wine casks.
Produced at the Angel’s Envy Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky, this cask-strength release was limited to a total allocation of 6,500 bottles. The technical presentation includes the signature heavy-base bottle housed in a handcrafted solid oak box with a sliding door, marking a primary target for collectors of early-era cask strength finishes.
