Description
Forteto della Luja Mon Ross Barbera d’Asti is a 100% Barbera produced in Loazzolo, Piedmont, from vineyards designated as a WWF Oasis since 2007. The estate cultivates Barbera on steep slopes exceeding 300 meters in elevation with clay and loam soils. Vines average over 30 years in age. Forteto della Luja Mon Ross Barbera d’Asti undergoes manual harvest followed by temperature-controlled fermentation with selected yeasts. The wine completes secondary fermentation and ages for four months in exhausted oak barrels before bottling in early spring after the first March full moon, following organic farming practices maintained by the Scaglione family.
