Description
Poderi Cellario Lafrea Langhe DOC Favorita is a white wine from Piedmont made from 100% Favorita grapes, the local name for Vermentino in the Langhe region. Third-generation winemakers Fausto and Cinzia Cellario produce this wine from the La Frea vineyard in Farigliano at 500 meters elevation on marl and volcanic tuff soils. Poderi Cellario Lafrea Langhe DOC Favorita 2024 undergoes hand-harvesting in early September, pneumatic direct pressing without maceration, and spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel. The wine ages on lees from winter through spring and receives minimal sulfur at bottling, remaining unfined and unfiltered.
