About This Wine
This wine is made from 100% estate fruit, which comes from Buglioni’s vineyards in Valpolicella Classico. The vineyards are located at an altitude of about 495ft and consist of dark, clayey soils with a high content of gravel.
This wine is crafted using the traditional
Ripasso method, a unique technique where a basic Valpolicella wine is “re-passed” over the still-warm pomace (grape skins and lees) left over from the production of Amarone. This second fermentation enriches the wine, extracting additional color, tannins, and concentrated flavors, giving it a fuller body and more complex aromatic profile than a standard Valpolicella, bridging the gap between a lighter Valpolicella and a powerful Amarone.
