Crown Royal Reserve Aged 12 Years is an 80 proof (40% ABV) premium expression produced at the Gimli Distillery in Manitoba, Canada. This 2024 re-release of the Reserve tier introduces a formal 12-year age statement, signifying the youngest whisky in the blend has matured for over a decade. Technical production utilizes a blend of 50 distinct whiskies crafted from five unique mash bills of corn, rye, and malted barley.
Maturation occurs in seasoned oak and new charred American white oak barrels, resulting in a technical profile defined by aromas of red apple and floral tones. The palate is characterized by velvety notes of creamy vanilla, caramel, and baking spices, leading to a long, expansive finish with signature Crown Royal smoothness.
