Description
Domaine de l’Octavin Mus’Cat is a skin-macerated orange wine blending Muscat d’Alexandrie and Muscat à Petits Grains from organic vineyards in Roussillon’s Pyrénées-Orientales, farmed by Vincent Lafage. Alice Bouvot vinifies the grapes in Jura using whole-cluster fermentation (4–15 days on skins) with indigenous yeasts, followed by nine months of élevage in stainless steel tanks without additives, fining, or filtration. The wine bridges Roussillon’s sun-drenched terroir—marked by schist soils and Mediterranean warmth—with Jura’s minimalist winemaking philosophy, resulting in a textured yet vibrant expression of Muscat.
