Sea Smoke’s “Ten” is named for the ten different Pinot Noir clones planted in their estate vineyard, which all find their way into this bottling. It is always a brooding and intense wine. This vintage is no exception; firm, mature tannins, evidence of Ten’s age-ability, deserve Pinot Noir collector’s dedication to ensure every vintage of this wine is in their cellars. The wine has candied cherry and darker berry aromas that meet with star anise, crumpled purple flowers, and crushed slate on the intoxicating nose of this bottling from the estate biodynamically farmed monopole vineyard. This is a wine worth seeking out and cellaring for a few years.
