Description
The Solano County region where we sourced this wine is very interesting. It’s the second oldest official AVA in California with a nice maritime climate and cool growing conditions. But the grape used to make this wine is even more interesting. Valdiguié is a red grape that is California’s answer to Gamay. It was even called “Napa Gamay” for a time, but we think it’s altogether more interesting than the light-bodied French varietal. It’s vibrant and has pops of expressive fruit flavors that leave us wanting more with each sip. At its core, this is a refreshing wine that hearkens back to “old napa” winemaking and we can’t wait for you to try it. Judges love it too! It took home a Silver medal from the 2020 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and at the 2019 Harvest Challenge.
