Description
Domaine de l’Octavin Ivre de Vivre is a natural white wine from France’s Jura region, crafted by Alice Bouvot using Vermentino (70%), Marsanne (15%), and Roussane (15%) sourced from biodynamic vineyards in Vaucluse (Rhône Valley). The Vermentino is directly pressed, while Marsanne and Roussane undergo a 15-day whole-cluster maceration or are infused with Vermentino juice for two weeks before co-fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Aged in stainless steel tanks until the following summer, this unfined, unfiltered wine reflects Jura’s minimalist ethos and the Rhône’s sun-drenched terroir—characterized by clay-limestone soils and a Mediterranean climate.
