Description
In a year of catastrophic mildew in southwest France, Christine Dupuy at Labranche Laffont made one white wine. This “Mildiou” cuvee is a careful selection of all the Old vine Gros and Petit Manseng grapes that survived. From Madiran which is a wine appellation located in the Southwest France region, specifically within the Gascony area, right at the foot of the Pyrenees Mountains. Some of the vines were planted in the early 19th Century and the Domaine was established in 1789! Notes of honeysuckle, acacia, citrus, orchard fruits, passion fruit and pineapple. Sharply defined richness and strong fruity flavor with a slight minerality on the finish. 14% ABV
