Description
In a state where Cab is often king, our California Malbec seizes the spotlight and challenges the status quo. Our award-winning winemakers at Disorderly Conduct have once again created a daring wine full of fearless red fruit and gallant sweetness. Although more commonly associated with Argentina, this black, thick-skinned grape variety feels right at home in the warm climate of California. Here it benefits from a long, dry growing season and a diverse array of terrain and soil types throughout the state. Although the California sweetheart, Cabernet Sauvignon, is still the front runner, Malbec is a dark horse with plantings becoming more common. Our wine is an example of this grape breaking the mold with softer tannins and rich fruit flavor. Next time you find yourself craving a full-bodied, fruit-forward California red, Disorderly Conduct encourages you to mix things up a bit and reach for something new.
