Cirò Rosso Classico Superiore Riserva by Scala is an intense and warm red wine obtained from pure gaglioppo grapes. The grapes come from vines whose average age is around 30 years, which grow at about 200 meters above sea level on a clayey and calcareous soil. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the cellar, and here they are softly pressed, then macerating on the skins for 15 days and fermenting in concrete tanks. In the same tanks the wine rests for 24 months. A smooth red wine with intense aromas of red fruit jam, notes of sweet spices and hints of Mediterranean scrub and sea breezes. On the palate it is warm, intense and enveloping. A medium-bodied wine with a grainy texture and a seductively saline finish. 14% ABV
