100% Montepulciano massal selection from 4 different biotypes.

Archivio is a single vineyard wine from our historical 2.5 ha vineyard with 67 year old vines; strong clay subsoil under limestone soils containing iron oxides; fermented in stainless steel with only indigenous yeasts 40 days; spontaneous malolactic fermentation; aged 12 months in 30% new oak barriques, 70% stainless; bottled unfined and unfiltered; aged 12 months in bottle.

An elegant and powerful wine with notes of smoky dark fruit, such as plum and black cherry, layered with spices, violets, and licorice. It is intensely aromatic, with a palate that is fresh, vibrant, and smooth, but also structured with firm tannins, high acidity, and a long finish. Definitely, an age worthy wine. 14.5% ABV
