Description
The 2021 Hapa Blanc presents a complex blend featuring 50% Roussanne, 20% Grenache Blanc, 10% Sauvignon Blanc, 8% Chardonnay, 6% Viognier, and 6% Albarino. This blend intricately combines fruit sourced from the cool fog of La Presa Vineyard and the limestone-rich hills of Tierra Alta Vineyard in Ballard Canyon, resulting in a southern Rhone-style blend reminiscent of the great white wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
The wine offers perfumed aromas of golden apple, pear, and citrus, complemented by hints of white orchid, mineral, baking spice, and lemon curd. On the palate, rich flavors of pear, apple, and pineapple unfold, leading to a core filled with mineral notes, lemon curd, beeswax, and lemon thyme. The finish is spicy, long, and clean.
