Grattamacco was founded in 1977 and was the second winery of the Bolgheri appellation, following Sassicaia. The harvest, strictly done by hand, is conducted in a series of three passes through the vineyard in the month of September to ensure optimal ripeness and only the best berries. The vinification is carried out ⅔ in barrels and ⅓ in steel. The wine ages for 8 months before bottling with frequent batonnage of the lees.

Shimmering light gold in colour. On the nose, an elegant, finely scented bouquet of very juicy lime and grapefruit on sea salt, with subtle hints of rosemary and thyme. Mouth-filling and very juicy, with electrifying acidity, a gentle grip and plenty of tension on the palate, leading onto a saline finish. 14% ABV
