The Authentic Collection was started by Cadenhead in 1991, originally intended as a celebration series for the company’s 150th anniversary. It then turned into the largest and greatest collection series of cask strength scotch whiskies with over 700 different expressions ever bottled.
This Glen Spey bottle is expected to showcase the typical speyside distillate at its prime age and prime proof. Without the heavy first-fill sherry cask influence, this dram will likely deliver some nice grassy and green tea flavors on palate and a tad floral and lemon peel on the nose.
